Sector 65: Gurgaon's Emerging Food Neighborhood

When people think of eating out in Gurgaon, Cyber Hub and Golf Course Road usually come to mind first. But Sector 65, tucked along the Southern Peripheral Road, has been quietly building one of the city's most interesting food scenes. A mix of standalone restaurants, cloud kitchen outposts, and independent cafes has turned this primarily residential sector into a genuine dining destination.

As regulars in the neighborhood (our cafe has been here since day one), we have eaten our way through most of what Sector 65 has to offer. Here is our honest guide to the best food within a 10-minute walk of Bean Brew & Beyond.

For Breakfast and Brunch: Bean Brew & Beyond

We will start with our own recommendation, because brunch is genuinely one of our strengths. Our all-day breakfast menu includes Eggs Benedict, avocado toast on house-baked sourdough, the BAE (bacon, avocado, egg), and acai bowls. Pair it with a Biscoff Latte or a flat white, and you have a brunch that competes with anything in central Gurgaon — without the Cyber Hub parking nightmare.

For North Indian Comfort: Punjab Grill Express

A smaller, faster version of the well-known Punjab Grill chain. The dal makhani is rich and smoky, the butter chicken is textbook, and the rumali roti is excellent. It is not reinventing the wheel, but when you want solid Punjabi food without the fine-dining price tag, this delivers. Lunch here is popular with the office crowd from nearby commercial towers.

Walk from Bean Brew: 5 minutes. Best for: Lunch, group dining.

For Pan-Asian: Wok This Way

A small, counter-service spot doing credible Thai and Chinese food. The pad thai is surprisingly authentic, and the chilli garlic noodles are a neighborhood favorite. Portions are generous and prices are fair. The space itself is modest — this is more of a takeaway-and-eat-at-home situation, but there are a few tables if you want to eat in.

Walk from Bean Brew: 7 minutes. Best for: Quick lunch, takeaway dinner.

For Pizza: Brik Oven

Wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizza from a small, passionate team. The margherita is the star — blistered crust, San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil. They also do an excellent fig and prosciutto that is worth trying. The space is cozy and can feel cramped during peak hours, so consider ordering for delivery if the weather is warm enough to eat on your balcony.

Walk from Bean Brew: 8 minutes. Best for: Dinner, date night on a budget.

For Street Food: Sector 65 Market Strip

The small market area near the Sector 65 Rapid Metro station has a handful of street food vendors that are worth knowing about. The chaat stall run by Ramesh Bhai does an exceptional papdi chaat and aloo tikki. There is also a momos vendor (look for the blue cart) whose steamed chicken momos with spicy red chutney are genuinely addictive. This is not Instagram-friendly food — it is honest, cheap, and delicious.

Walk from Bean Brew: 10 minutes. Best for: Evening snack, weekend cravings.

For South Indian: Dosa Factory

A clean, no-frills spot specializing in dosas and uttapam. The masala dosa is crispy and well-filled, and the filter coffee is respectable. This is the kind of place you go when you want a quick, satisfying meal that costs less than your morning latte. Open early, which makes it a good option for pre-work breakfast if you are craving something savory.

Walk from Bean Brew: 6 minutes. Best for: Quick breakfast, budget-friendly lunch.

For Healthy Bowls: Green Rebel

A health-focused delivery kitchen that recently added a small dine-in space. Their grain bowls — particularly the falafel bowl and the teriyaki chicken bowl — are well-portioned and flavorful without being heavy. Good option for weekday lunches when you want something lighter than a full restaurant meal.

Walk from Bean Brew: 4 minutes. Best for: Healthy weekday lunch.

The Verdict

Sector 65 may not have the concentration of restaurants that Cyber Hub offers, but it has something better — variety without pretension. You can eat well here every day of the week without repeating a cuisine or breaking the bank. Start your day with coffee and brunch at Bean Brew, grab lunch at Punjab Grill or Wok This Way, and end with pizza from Brik Oven. That is a very good day of eating.
